Neuro - Fucked!

Even simple daily things I used to enjoy doing such as browsing through my cellphone, using the computer, or even reading a comic book are starting to become really difficult to do. I don't even know how I go to work everyday and make it through the 10 hours with the way I've been feeling. Today I woke up with no pain but as soon as I started reading or doing anything that requires just a bit of my brain I start to feel the symptoms again. I feel a sort of heat on my scalp and a tingling sensation and then my head, shoulder and neck start to go numb. This is a really horrible feeling I don't even know how to properly describe it because it's truly something that you will only know by experiencing. I only feel slightly ok while watching a favorite film, show, or anime/cartoon. Sleeping is the only way to not feel. Is this for real?

  1. Sorry to hear that you are still not doing well Sophie! :( Did you already receive the results from your scan? And does your body feel okay when you're rested and aren't behind the computer? It could also be stress related, I think... Would it be possible to get a few days off from work? I hope you'll get to see the doctor again and take care in the meantime <3
p.s. maybe this information will help a bit: http://www.healthhype.com/causes-of-tingling-and-numbness-paresthesia.html

    1. Thank you so much for that article it really helped me understand what I'm going through. =)

My scans are gonna be this coming week on Tuesday and Wednesday. Yeah my body uses feels better when I'm lying down and watching a movie or something or just resting. They gave me the first week of October off as an emergency so unfortunately I can't take more days off. I had to go back to the ER on Thursday and ended up losing my work bonus due to having left early during the month twice and because I ended up staying sick this Friday also but my health comes first. Thank you so much Natasja your friendship and comforting words and advice mean the world to me. *Hugs*

  2. Is this a recent thing or has it been going on for a while? Could be stress or change of diet.. I mean, just throwing ideas out there. Any word from the Doctors?

    1. It's been going on for awhile but it had never been that intense. I have to wait till after I get my tests done during this coming week. I think it's stress and something else something internal.
